Asif Ali Zardari arrived in Sanya to boost China ties after completing his visit to Hunan province. His arrival reflects ongoing high-level engagement between Pakistan and China and highlights efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
Upon arrival in Sanya, he received a warm welcome from Wang Jiang, Party Secretary of Hainan. Moreover, Pakistan’s ambassador to China and the consul general in Guangzhou were also present at the reception.
Officials described the visit as a continuation of strong diplomatic relations between the two countries. In addition, Sanya plays a key role as a global tourism hub and a major center for economic and trade activities under the Hainan Free Trade Port initiative.

During his visit, President Zardari will hold discussions with provincial leadership on economic, trade, and strategic cooperation. Furthermore, he will focus on enhancing collaboration under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) framework.
