
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif held separate meetings with the defence ministers of Iran, China, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan in Bishkek. The meetings are significant as they reflect Pakistan’s efforts to strengthen regional defence cooperation within the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation framework.
According to reports, the meetings took place on the sidelines of the SCO Defence Ministers’ meeting in Kyrgyzstan. Discussions focused on defence cooperation, regional security, and matters of mutual interest among participating countries.
