
China’s Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong has praised Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting peace in the Middle East. The remarks came during a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad, according to the Prime Minister’s Office. The two sides also reviewed the evolving regional situation.
During the meeting, both leaders exchanged views on developments in the Middle East. The Chinese envoy appreciated Pakistan’s continued efforts for regional stability and lasting peace. He thanked the prime minister for receiving him and acknowledged Islamabad’s diplomatic engagement in ongoing tensions.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed satisfaction over the “positive trajectory” of Pakistan-China relations. He conveyed warm greetings to Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang. The prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to its long-standing strategic partnership with China.
He also said Pakistan values its “All-Weather Cooperative Strategic Partnership” with Beijing. He emphasized continued collaboration with Chinese leadership to strengthen bilateral ties. Both sides expressed commitment to expanding cooperation across multiple sectors.

The meeting was attended by senior cabinet members and foreign affairs officials. Earlier, Iran’s ambassador also met the prime minister to discuss regional developments. Pakistan has recently played a mediating role in international talks, including ceasefire efforts involving the United States and Iran.
