The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly dry weather across most parts of the country on Thursday, with hot conditions prevailing during daytime in plain areas. However, partly cloudy weather accompanied by light rain, wind, and thunderstorms is expected at isolated locations in western and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and northeast Balochistan.
In Islamabad and surrounding areas, partly cloudy conditions are likely, with chances of light rain and thunderstorms during the morning hours.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most districts will experience partly cloudy weather, while isolated rain-wind/thunderstorm activity is expected in areas including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Bajaur, Kurram, Khyber, Kohat, Parachinar, Waziristan, and Bannu.
Punjab is expected to remain hot and dry in most districts, though the Potohar region may witness partly cloudy conditions in the afternoon.
Murree, Galliyat, and adjoining areas may receive light rain with gusty winds and thunderstorms.
Dust-raising winds are also likely in southern districts during the afternoon.
Sindh will continue to experience hot and dry weather, with partly cloudy conditions in southern parts of the province.
In Balochistan, mainly dry weather is expected, although isolated rain-wind/thunderstorm activity may occur in Quetta, Zhob, Ziarat, Chaman, Shirani, Qila Abdullah, and Qila Saifullah.
Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are also expected to remain partly cloudy, with chances of rain and thunderstorms at isolated places.
According to the Met Office, weather during the past 24 hours remained dry in most parts of the country, while plain areas experienced hot conditions.
