PNSC vessel Bolan delivers major petrol shipment to Karachi port

Published on: April 21, 2026 3:42 PM

A vessel operated by Pakistan National Shipping Corporation has arrived at Port Qasim carrying a large petrol shipment aimed at strengthening Pakistan’s national fuel reserves. The ship, Bolan, transported approximately 57,300 metric tons of petrol, providing an important addition to the country’s fuel supply chain and helping authorities maintain adequate stock levels.

According to port officials, the tanker departed from Sohar Port before reaching Karachi with the substantial fuel cargo. The delivery represents part of Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to ensure stable fuel availability and manage supply requirements amid fluctuating demand in domestic energy markets and transportation sectors.

Meanwhile, authorities confirmed that several other ships also arrived at Port Qasim on the same day, reflecting active maritime operations at one of the country’s major commercial ports. In total, ten vessels entered the port area, including two container ships and five bulk carriers transporting various goods and commodities for domestic industries and trade.

Officials further stated that the offloading process for the petrol cargo will begin on Tuesday morning once the vessel is properly berthed at the designated terminal. Port staff and technical teams will oversee the transfer operation to ensure safety, efficiency, and smooth handling of the large petroleum shipment.

Moreover, energy officials believe the arrival of this shipment will play an important role in supporting Pakistan’s existing fuel reserves and improving supply stability across the country. By strengthening available stock levels, the delivery is expected to help maintain uninterrupted petrol distribution for transportation, businesses, and everyday consumer needs.
