During the conversation, the Pakistani premier appreciated Iran’s decision to send a delegation to Islamabad for talks, calling it a positive step toward strengthening diplomatic engagement. He also briefed the Iranian president on his recent interactions with leaders from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkiye, noting that these efforts have contributed to momentum toward a broader peace framework.
Sharif further highlighted the significance of recent high-level exchanges between the two countries, including the visit of Pakistan’s military leadership to Tehran, describing it as instrumental in enhancing mutual understanding and cooperation.

President Pezeshkian, in turn, acknowledged Pakistan’s diplomatic role and efforts to ease tensions in the region.
