Japan praises Pakistan’s US-Iran role

Japan has appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic role in facilitating recent United States–Iran ceasefire talks. The support came during a phone call between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi. The leaders discussed Islamabad-hosted negotiations between the two countries. The conversation highlighted Pakistan’s growing diplomatic engagement.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the talks focused on the recent dialogue held in Islamabad. These discussions involved delegations from the United States and Iran. Japan expressed strong support for continued peace efforts. It also stressed the importance of regional stability and global energy security.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked Japan for its goodwill and support. He also appreciated both delegations for constructive engagement in Islamabad. He said Pakistan will continue efforts to maintain the ceasefire. He emphasized the importance of sustained diplomatic communication.

The Japanese prime minister welcomed Pakistan’s efforts and expressed desire for stronger bilateral cooperation. Both leaders reaffirmed commitment to expanding ties between their countries. They agreed to maintain close coordination on regional and global issues. The discussion reflected mutual interest in long-term diplomatic engagement.
