Sindh Minister for Local Government, Housing and Town Planning Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has said that Pakistan has emerged as a symbol of peace, stability and effective diplomacy at the global level, adding that today the slogan “Shabash Pakistan” is echoing across the world and Pakistan has become a leader in diplomacy, a symbol of peace, a guarantor of stability and a source of pride for all. He said that the slogan of “Pakistan Zindabad” is rising strongly on the global stage. He expressed these views while inaugurating the Gujranwala Expo 2026 at Karachi Expo Centre where he formally opened the exhibition by cutting the ribbon. The ceremony was attended by a large number of representatives from Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry, local and foreign industrialists, investors and diplomats from various countries. On this occasion, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah visited different industrial and commercial stalls set up at the expo and showed keen interest in the products. Addressing the Inaugural ceremony, he said that due to the joint efforts of President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, peace and stability have been promoted in the country and these efforts will always be remembered. He said that Pakistan’s efforts for establishing peace hold an important place in global history. Nasir Hussain Shah said that Gujranwala Expo is not merely an exhibition but an effective platform for business linkages, investment and industrial collaboration which sends a clear message to the world that Pakistan is ready for business, full of opportunities and a reliable country. Highlighting the industrial importance of Gujranwala, he said that the city holds a prominent position globally due to its products and its goods are being exported to more than 100 countries. He congratulated the organizers on successfully holding the event and assured that the Sindh Government will provide every possible facility and full support to industrialists. He said that the whole Pakistan is one and we are all Pakistanis and whoever wants to come and invest or do business here will be provided full cooperation. The expo administration also expressed support for President Asif Ali Zardari’s slogans “Pakistan First” and “Pakistan Khappay”. More than 65 local and multinational companies have set up their stalls at the exhibition while the aim of introducing Gujranwala products in Karachi and other major trade centers is to further promote industrial linkages. According to experts such exhibitions not only increase exports but also open new avenues of investment in the country.
