Speaking to media, Abrar Ahmed emphasized that team success remains his top priority, stating that personal milestones are secondary compared to lifting the trophy for Quetta Gladiators. He expressed confidence that the side is determined to improve its performance after an inconsistent start in the earlier phase of the competition.
The spinner said that the team is ready to reset its approach in Karachi after leaving behind the results of the Lahore leg. He added that some matches slipped away due to middle-order batting failures, despite having strong winning positions in a few games.
Abrar Ahmed noted that conditions in Karachi are often more favorable for spinners, and he hopes to capitalize on them to help his side build momentum. He stressed that success in T20 cricket depends on smart planning, reading match situations, and adapting to different batters rather than relying solely on talent.
He further highlighted that modern batting-friendly pitches require bowlers to be more strategic, analyzing opposition strengths and weaknesses carefully to maintain control in high-scoring matches.
The young spinner also expressed disappointment over the lack of crowd presence in some matches, saying that spectators play a vital role in boosting player morale and enhancing the excitement of the game. He hoped that fans would return to stadiums in greater numbers as conditions improve.
