
Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan on Saturday inspected the Murree Expressway after its significant upgrades, highlighting improvements aimed at enhancing traveler comfort and ensuring a safer, more convenient journey.
The minister confirmed that the expressway’s renovation was completed in phases, resulting in a route that is more aesthetically appealing and better equipped to handle the increasing traffic between Islamabad and Murree.

During his visit, Abdul Aleem Khan reviewed newly constructed rest areas and mosques, instructing the National Highway Authority to add more facilities, including prayer areas specifically designed for women, while maintaining high cleanliness standards.
To improve commuter safety and traffic flow, the minister ordered the construction of a modern roundabout in the Lower Topa area, ensuring smooth movement of vehicles and reducing congestion during peak travel hours.

Abdul Aleem Khan also emphasized the importance of standardizing all new construction work along the expressway, ensuring quality, consistency, and long-term durability for every facility built or upgraded along the route.
