Movie teaser for ‘Psycho’ debuts at O2 Arena

Published on: March 31, 2026 3:34 AM

Pakistan has marked a major moment in its film industry as a new Pakistani movie teaser was launched at London’s iconic O2 Arena, a first for any Pakistani film.

The event signals a growing global presence for Pakistani cinema and has already created excitement among fans.

The film, written and directed by Shaan Shahid, is set to release in cinemas on Eidul Azha. Known for his strong screen presence, Shaan leads a powerful cast that includes Meera, Sonya Hussyn, Javed Sheikh, Shabbir Jan and Nayyar Ejaz. With a strong line-up, the film is already being seen as a possibility for one of the biggest releases of Eidul Azha.

Unlike the usual romantic comedies that often arrive during Eid, this film takes a different route. It is a psychological thriller, offering something fresh for audiences. In an Instagram post, Meera captioned a video of the trailer screening “A historic moment for Pakistan!” She added “PSYCHO — The real enemy lives in the mind,” hinting at the theme behind the film.

Produced under the Red Lipstick banner, the teaser gives a glimpse into the film’s tone and storyline. It shows moments between Shaan and Sonya, suggesting a possible romantic angle. Meanwhile, Meera’s character stands out with hints that she may play a central and possibly complex role in the plot. The teaser leaves just enough mystery to keep viewers curious.

The launch at such a major international venue has helped the film gain attention beyond Pakistan. Since its release, the teaser has received a positive response online, with fans eagerly waiting for the release, keen to see how the story unfolds and what surprises the film holds. With a unique theme, a strong cast, and an international launch, the film is shaping up to be a major Eidul Azha release and a proud moment for Pakistani cinema.
