Following recent heavy rainfall and hailstorms, authorities in Loralai have intensified emergency preparedness measures, with police and district administration stepping up efforts to prevent potential loss of life and property.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dr. Fahad Ahmed (PSP) placed all police stations across the district on high alert, directing personnel to maintain constant vigilance and closely monitor conditions in their respective areas.
Officers were instructed to immediately report any incidents such as injuries, collapsed houses or walls, road blockages, or other emergencies to the control room with complete details including location and information about affected individuals. This, he emphasized, would enable swift rescue operations.
Rescue agencies and district administration teams have also been deployed in sensitive and vulnerable areas, with low-lying regions under close observation to mitigate flood risks.
Authorities have advised residents to avoid unnecessary travel and exercise caution during adverse weather. Citizens were urged to contact the nearest police station or control room in case of emergencies.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast further rainfall in the coming days. In response, police and administration have formulated a joint strategy to effectively handle emerging risks and ensure public safety.
