Superintendent of Police (SP) Judicial Protection Unit Iqbal Khan and SP Aiwan-e-Sadr/Parliament House Tahir Mehmood Khan directed for heightened vigilance and strict monitoring during security duty checks in view of the arrival of foreign delegations in the federal capital. An official told APP on Sunday that both officers visited various security points to review duty arrangements and assess the preparedness of deployed personnel. The officers briefed police personnel about the nature of their assignments and issued clear instructions to remain alert, ensuring duties were performed with diligence and professionalism. They emphasized that all personnel must demonstrate maximum vigilance and a strong sense of responsibility, warning that negligence during security duties would not be tolerated and officers must remain fully prepared to respond to any emergency situation. The officers further directed personnel to keep a close watch on suspicious activities and immediately inform the relevant authorities in case of any unusual situation. They also stressed the importance of maintaining strong coordination and communication among all officers and personnel deployed at sensitive locations to ensure effective security arrangements. The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police reiterated that protecting citizens’ lives and property, along with maintaining law and order in the federal capital, remained among its top priorities.
