
Qatar appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to promote peace amid rising regional tensions. Pakistani and Qatari leaders discussed ongoing developments and stressed urgent de-escalation. The dialogue reaffirmed strong bilateral ties and cooperation on security and stability.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar spoke with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. Both sides emphasized dialogue and diplomacy to maintain stability and reduce hostilities in the region.

Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian praised Pakistan’s diplomatic role in facilitating talks to ease tensions with Israel. He highlighted the importance of building trust to support mediation and de-escalation efforts in the Middle East.
The discussions come ahead of a major diplomatic visit to Islamabad by the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Egypt. The visiting dignitaries, arriving March 29-30, will hold talks with Ishaq Dar and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss regional peace efforts.

Pakistan’s Foreign Office said the meetings will cover strategies to curb escalation, strengthen dialogue, and reinforce Pakistan’s role as a mediator in the Middle East. Officials stressed the importance of ongoing coordination with regional partners.
