An Iranian missile attack killed a man in Tel Aviv on Friday, as Tehran continued its retaliatory strikes across the region a month into the ongoing conflict, Israeli authorities said. The attack came amid a series of at least five missile barrages over a period of just over five hours, prompting air raid sirens and activating Israel’s air defence systems.

The Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency service confirmed the death and reported additional injuries. Two men, aged 65 and 50, were wounded in a separate incident in Tel Aviv, while another two civilians were injured in the southern town of Kuseife. Video footage shared by authorities showed damage to residential buildings, including one struck by a cluster munition, which scatters bomblets over a wide area. Both Iran and Israel have previously accused each other of using such weapons.

AFP correspondents reported hearing explosions from Jericho in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, while video captured missile barrages over Jerusalem. According to Israel’s Home Front Command, some of the strikes involved coordinated attacks by Iran and its Lebanese ally, Hezbollah, targeting northern Israel and parts of the annexed Golan Heights.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reiterated Tehran’s threat of reprisal, saying Iran would exact a “HEAVY price for Israeli crimes” following recent Israeli strikes on major Iranian steel and nuclear facilities.
Since the conflict began on February 28, Iranian missile attacks have killed at least 18 civilians in Israel, including 13 Israelis—four of them minors—as well as one Filipino caregiver and one Thai national. The escalation underscores the growing human toll of the war and highlights the ongoing risks to civilian populations amid intensifying regional hostilities.
