Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 128 runs in the second ODI at Mirpur on Friday, leveling the three-match series 1-1. The win is crucial for Pakistan to stay competitive and regain confidence after the first-match loss. Fans, players, and cricket analysts closely watched the match for team performance and emerging talents.

Batting first, Pakistan posted 274 runs in 48 overs, with Maaz Siddiqui scoring 75 off 46 balls. Salman Ali Agha added 64 runs, while Mohammad Rizwan contributed 44 runs to the total. Saif Hasan and Toheed scored 12 and 28 runs respectively for Bangladesh, but the team struggled under Pakistan’s disciplined bowling attack.

In response, Bangladesh received a revised 243-run target due to rain interruptions, but the chase faltered quickly. Bangladesh lost early wickets and could manage only 114 runs in 24 overs, highlighting Pakistan’s strong bowling performance. Maaz Siddiqui and Haris Rauf each took three wickets, while Shaheen Afridi claimed two more to dismantle Bangladesh’s lineup.

Shaheen Afridi captained Pakistan in this match, demonstrating leadership and tactical skills that influenced the game’s outcome. The victory helps Pakistan regain momentum after a humiliating defeat in the first ODI. Bangladesh now faces pressure in the final match to secure the series and avoid back-to-back losses.
