A senior military adviser to Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, Yahya Rahim Safavi, insulted US President Donald Trump on state television on Wednesday. He called Trump “the most corrupt and stupid American president” and “Satan himself.” His remarks come as Iran, the US, and Israel are engaged in escalating regional conflict.
Safavi also reiterated longstanding threats against Israel. He said only Iran or Israel could remain in the region and insisted the Zionist regime would be destroyed. These statements reflect Tehran’s hardline posture amid ongoing Middle East tensions.

Separately, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Iran’s parliament speaker, warned that Tehran would abandon all restraint if US or Israeli forces attacked Iranian islands in the Gulf. He said any aggression would “make the Persian Gulf run with the blood of invaders.”
It remains unclear which islands Ghalibaf was referring to, though recent reports suggest that US officials have discussed targeting Kharg Island. Analysts say this highlights the high stakes of the Middle East conflict and the risks of escalation.

The comments from both Safavi and Ghalibaf signal that Iran is adopting an aggressive stance toward the US and Israel. Observers warn that tensions in the region could intensify further, affecting Gulf security and international energy markets.
