The Rupee on Friday appreciated by 1 paisa against the US Dollar in interbank trading and closed at Rs 279.40 compared to the previous day’s closing at Rs 279.41. According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the Dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs 279 and Rs 280.45, respectively. The price of the Euro against the Rupee increased by Rs 0.53 to close at Rs 324.52 from the previous day’s close of Rs 323.99, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). The Japanese Yen remained unchanged at Rs 1.77, whereas the exchange rate of the British Pound witnessed an increase of Rs 1.14 and closed at Rs 373.53 compared to the previous day’s Rs 372.39. The exchange rate of the Emirates Dirham came down by 2 pasia to close at Rs 76.06, while the Saudi Riyal remained stagnant and closed at Rs 74.42.
