
Ongoing tensions between Iran, the United States, and Israel have severely disrupted air travel, with 104 flights from Pakistan to Middle Eastern destinations cancelled on Friday, affecting passengers and airlines alike. Authorities cited security concerns amid escalating regional instability as the primary reason.
Karachi experienced significant disruption, with 21 flights to Dubai, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Bahrain cancelled, while Lahore saw 27 cancellations for destinations including Dubai, Doha, Sharjah, Kuwait City, Dammam, and Abu Dhabi. Passengers were advised to check updated schedules before traveling.

Islamabad faced 29 flight cancellations bound for Doha, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Sharjah, and Dubai, while 14 flights remained scheduled. Peshawar also reported 12 cancellations to key Middle Eastern cities, with four flights still expected to operate despite the disruption.
Other cities, including Multan and Faisalabad, were affected as well, with eight and seven flights cancelled respectively to destinations such as Doha, Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Dammam, and Jeddah. Meanwhile, Quetta’s four scheduled flights to Sharjah and Dubai continued as planned.

Aviation officials confirmed that this week alone, 1,130 flights from Pakistan to Middle Eastern countries have been cancelled due to ongoing regional conflict and heightened security alerts. Airlines continue to monitor the situation and coordinate with authorities to ensure passenger safety.
