Railways Minister Muhammad Hanif Abbasi on Tuesday announced revival of Bullhe Shah Passenger train service from May 28, aimed at easing travel and strengthening connectivity between Kasur and Pakpattan districts.
Suspended since November 2011, the train will run between Kasur and Pakpattan, with stops at Usmanwala, Kanganpur, Mandi Ahmadabad, Basirpur and Haveli Wasawewala.
The decision follows a request by Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan and Minister of State for National Food Security Malik Rasheed Ahmad Khan, who urged the minister during a meeting at the Ministry of Railways to restore the 257-Up / 258-Down service.
Abbasi also gave in-principle approval for a stop of Tezgam Express at Kot Radha Kishan, reaffirming the government’s commitment to modern and improved travel facilities. He said steps are being taken to enhance passenger convenience and rail connectivity across key routes.
In a major development initiative for Kasur, authorities have approved the establishment of a 25-acre park in the constituency of the Punjab Assembly Speaker and Minister of State Malik Rasheed Ahmad Khan. The beautification and upgradation of Kasur Railway Station have also been announced as part of the plan.
