Chief Minister Sohail Afridi announced the formation of a force to seek the release of Imran Khan outside the Supreme Court of Pakistan. He said the group will organize a peaceful movement for Khan’s freedom and constitutional supremacy. The move directly affects supporters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and the broader political climate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Speaking to reporters in Islamabad, Afridi said he received responsibility to lead a street movement from the PTI founder. He alleged that authorities were ignoring court orders and restricting access to Khan’s personal doctors. He formally announced the “Founder PTI Release Force” and pledged to register the organization. Moreover, he stressed that the force would pursue a peaceful and disciplined struggle.
