LONDON: Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar on Monday rejected speculation about any deal or special relief for jailed Imran Khan, saying reports circulating on social media were unfounded.
Speaking to media in London, Tarar said the former prime minister’s health was stable and not alarming. He said sensational claims had been spread online, whereas Khan’s condition had improved and any earlier medical concerns had been resolved. “PTI leaders have been fully briefed about his health,” he added, urging that health matters should not be politicised.

Tarar said Khan’s condition had been examined by medical experts and opposition representatives were informed accordingly. He noted that Raja Nasir Abbas and Gohar Ali Khan visited the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) where doctors provided a detailed briefing on the PTI founder’s health.
Separately, Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Information and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Affairs Ikhtiar Wali Khan said Khan could be shifted to a hospital within days for further examination, either at a government or private facility. Speaking on a television programme, he also claimed the PTI founder had attempted to negotiate a deal for his release and had proposed three options.
Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said Khan’s personal doctors were unable to conduct a scheduled check-up due to alleged non-cooperation from his sister, Aleema Khan. He added that doctors waited for two hours but did not proceed with the examination.

Chaudhry also rejected reports that Khan had lost most vision in one eye, calling the claim inaccurate. The statements reflect continuing political tensions and competing narratives over the PTI founder’s health and incarceration.
