
Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali addressed fans on the possibility of a sequel to the hit F1 movie during Apple TV’s first press day in Santa Monica on Tuesday.
The discussion came while Domenicali joined an Apple TV executive, answering a fan-submitted question about whether another Formula 1 film would follow the 2025 blockbuster starring Brad Pitt, Damson Idris, and Javier Bardem.

Domenicali hinted at a sequel, saying, “Stay tuned,” and added that the team is currently taking time to fully digest the success of the first movie before making any concrete announcements.
He emphasized that any potential follow-up would need to meet very high standards, explaining that if a new F1 movie happens, it will not be released next year, but fans may hear more soon.

The 2025 F1 film, directed by Joseph Kosinski, featured a star-studded cast including Brad Pitt, Kerry Condon, Damson Idris, and Javier Bardem, receiving acclaim for its action-packed depiction of the racing world.
Domenicali concluded that while a sequel is under consideration, the primary focus is ensuring the story remains engaging and authentic to Formula 1, with updates expected possibly at next year’s press day.
