Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi said the federal government owes the province over Rs 4,400 billion. He claimed Islamabad treats KP like a stepmother. Afridi urged youth to take responsibility for Pakistan’s future and improve the country’s economic and security conditions.
Afridi stressed that the law must apply to everyone equally. He said anyone who thinks they are above the law must face justice. He warned that accountability is essential to end corruption and strengthen national trust.

He criticized Punjab, calling it under “civil martial law.” He said PTI leaders there cannot hold meetings or raise their party flag. He claimed that vehicle number plates are tampered with and security personnel face harassment. Afridi urged youth to replace oppressive leaders and actively support democracy.
The Chief Minister highlighted KP’s limited resources and federal neglect despite the merger of tribal districts. He said the province is not receiving its due economic share. Afridi announced that interest-free loans for youth would increase from Rs 3 billion to Rs 5 billion. He called for unity to eliminate terrorism and stressed that a good intention is key to success.

He concluded that KP could achieve much more if given its rights. Afridi asked citizens to demand justice for their hard-earned tax money. He emphasized that the youth must dream big, participate in governance, and help reform the nation.
