An Asian Development Bank (ADB) delegation visited the Railway Headquarters on Saturday, engaging in detailed discussions with officials regarding the upgradation of the Main Line-1 (ML-1). The delegation, which had last week conducted a thorough inspection of the Karachi-Rohri railway line, briefed CEO Railways Aamir Ali Baloch on their recommendations for the project. Both sides reached an agreement to finalize the details of the ML-1 upgradation, marking a significant step toward the modernization of Pakistan’s railway infrastructure. CEO Railways Aamir Ali Baloch stated that preparations for the ML-1 project have entered their final phase and that the ground-breaking ceremony is scheduled for July. The ML-1 upgradation is a key component of Pakistan Railways’ modernization plan, aiming to enhance efficiency, increase speed, and improve overall rail connectivity across the country.
