Pakistan joined the Board of Peace at WEF 2026 in Davos to support lasting peace in Gaza. The initiative, led by US President Donald Trump, aims to implement a ceasefire and rebuild war-torn areas. The Board of Peace focuses on ending the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and organizing comprehensive reconstruction. Plans include rebuilding homes, schools, hospitals, water and electricity systems, and reviving economic activity. The project follows UN Security Council resolutions and seeks to provide Palestinians a dignified life.

Pakistan joined the initiative alongside Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Qatar, UAE, Indonesia, Bahrain, Morocco, Argentina, Hungary, and the United States. Muslim countries’ strong participation ensures that Palestinian self-determination and statehood remain central. The move signals Pakistan’s readiness for collaborative, multilateral solutions in the region.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif engaged with President Trump during the signing ceremony. Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa thanked Pakistan for supporting peace, opposing violence, and advocating Palestinian rights. The engagement highlighted Pakistan’s growing influence and recognition in international diplomacy.

Officials clarified that joining the Board does not mean Pakistan will take part in military missions. Pakistan maintains a principled stance, avoiding bloc politics while promoting balanced, active diplomacy.
