President Donald Trump marked one year of his presidency on Tuesday with a long White House news briefing. He said his administration had ended several long conflicts and boosted U.S. influence worldwide. Trump waved documents and listed what he called major foreign policy, security, and economic achievements.
Trump claimed his government ended “eight long and difficult wars” in less than a year and said the United Nations had not helped resolve these conflicts. He repeated that he prevented a potential nuclear confrontation between India and Pakistan, saying both sides were close to war and that his intervention saved millions of lives.

He also announced a new initiative called the “Peace Board,” aimed at resolving global conflicts more effectively, though he said it was not meant to replace the United Nations. Trump criticized the U.N. for being ineffective and stressed that the United States had taken the lead in diplomacy.
In addition to foreign policy, Trump highlighted domestic achievements, including stricter immigration enforcement and strong economic performance. He praised border security, stock market gains, lower inflation, and said his policies had encouraged business investment. He also stressed law enforcement efforts against drug networks.
