Imran, who ran a puncture repair stall in Mehmoodabad and resides in Manzoor Colony, reportedly lured victims by offering motorcycle rides before taking them to deserted areas near the Malir Nadi, where the assaults occurred. Victims were boys aged 12 to 13. Police said Imran has confessed to sexually assaulting dozens of children over the past six years.
Authorities revealed that between 2020 and 2025, seven cases of child sexual abuse were reported across Karachi’s Malir, Korangi, East, and South districts. DNA analysis confirmed Imran’s involvement in all seven cases, while three victims positively identified him and one identified both suspects.
The arrests followed the formation of a special investigation team on January 6 under the supervision of DIG CIA Muqaddas Haider, led by East Investigation. Several senior officers, including SSP Investigation Malir Asif Bughio, SSP AVCC Asif Raza Baloch, and SP Investigation South Ali Hassan, participated in the operation.
Police warned that investigations are ongoing and urged parents to remain vigilant. Last year, another serial child rapist, Shabbir Tanoli, was arrested in Karachi for assaulting over 100 children. Tanoli, a juice vendor, had confessed to his crimes before a judicial magistrate.
