The Rupee on Friday appreciated by 1 paisa against the US Dollar in interbank trading and closed at Rs 279.95 compared to the previous day’s closing at Rs 279.96. According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the Dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs 280.65 and Rs 282.75, respectively. The price of the Euro decreased by Rs 0.53 to close at Rs 325.06 from the previous day’s close of Rs 325.59, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). The Japanese Yen remained unchanged and closed at Rs 1.76, whereas the exchange rate of the British Pound witnessed a decrease of Rs 1.15 and closed at Rs 374.92 compared to the previous day’s Rs 376.07. The exchange rate of the Emirates Dirham came down by 1 pasia and closed at Rs 76.21, whereas the Saudi Riyal remained stagnant at Rs 74.65.
