The government has announced that petrol and high-speed diesel prices will remain unchanged for the next 15 days, aiming to maintain stability in the fuel market amid consumer expectations.
According to the Ministry of Finance notification, petrol will continue to be sold at Rs253.17 per litre, while high-speed diesel will remain priced at Rs257.08 per litre across the country.

This decision follows a fuel price cut at the start of January, when petrol was reduced by Rs10.28 per litre and diesel by Rs8.57, offering temporary relief to consumers and transporters alike.
Officials explained that keeping fuel rates steady allows the market to adjust to global oil price trends and provides predictability for businesses, transport sectors, and households planning their expenses.
