UOG Architecture admissions finally resume in 2026

Published on: January 16, 2026 5:03 PM

Following a ban on admissions in the Department of Architecture at the University of Gujrat since 2023 by the Pakistan Council for Architecture and Town Planning (PCATP), the esteemed Vice Chancellor, Prof.Dr. Zahoor ul Haq (T.I.), took proactive initiatives to lift the ban. After meeting with the Chairman PCATP and addressing the council’s concerns, the Vice Chancellor ensured that all deficiencies were rectified.

A conformation visit was conducted by PCATP on November 28, 2025, which yielded satisfactory reviews regarding the department’s management, administration, faculty, infrastructure, and the Vice Chancellor’s efforts. Consequently, the PCATP lifted the ban, allowing the department to resume admissions for year 2026.

This achievement is a testament to the Vice Chancellor’s dedication and perseverance. The Department of Architecture at UOG, serving a crucial role in the region’s development, will now be able to contribute to the country’s growth after a three-year hiatus. We appreciate the Vice Chancellor’s efforts in securing this outcome for the university’s and the region’s benefit.
