
GWADAR: A man was shot dead by robbers at a shop on Airport Road in Gwadar on Wednesday, police said. Two unidentified assailants, with their faces concealed, entered the shop and held customers at gunpoint while attempting to loot valuables.

The shopkeeper and some customers resisted the robbery, prompting the gunmen to open fire. One customer, identified as Sameer Elahi Bakhsh, was killed in the attack. The robbers seized cash and mobile phones before fleeing the scene, authorities said.
Police arrived shortly after receiving reports of the incident and transferred the body to the district hospital. Investigators said raids were underway to apprehend the suspects, and further details were being collected from witnesses and CCTV footage.
Officials expressed concern over rising street crimes in Gwadar and emphasized the need for enhanced security measures in commercial areas. Residents have urged authorities to increase patrolling and install surveillance cameras to prevent similar incidents in the future.
