The government on Monday strongly rejected claims that United States fighter jets and refuelling aircraft were using Pakistan’s airspace to prepare for a potential military strike on Iran. Consequently, the information ministry termed the reports reckless, misleading, and part of a deliberate attempt to drag Pakistan into an external conflict without credible evidence.
In a detailed statement, the ministry said the narrative was spread by social media accounts linked to India and Afghanistan after Donald Trump signalled possible military action against Iran amid ongoing internal unrest. Moreover, these accounts falsely claimed that American aerial refuelling and surveillance aircraft had shifted operations into Pakistani territory.

The ministry categorically denied assertions that US KC-135R tankers or stealth fighters such as F-22s and F-35s were operating from or through Pakistan. Instead, it clarified that verified flight activity occurred in Europe and the Middle East as regional tensions escalated.
Officials further recalled that Islamabad had publicly condemned previous US strikes on Iran, including the “Midnight Hammer” operation targeting nuclear facilities. Therefore, the government stressed that Pakistan’s policy stance clearly rejects participation in military actions against neighbouring or regional states.

It advised the public to rely on official statements from Inter-Services Public Relations, relevant ministries, and reputable defence outlets for accurate national security information.
