DSP of Razaar tehsil circle Hassan Khan said the raid was conducted by SHO Abdul Wali Khan and a police team at a hujra in Karnal Sher Khan Kalay following complaints from local residents. Loud music and the showering of money on dancers prompted neighbors to alert authorities, he added.
During the operation, police also recovered a 12-bore repeater from the venue. FIRs were registered against the remaining individuals involved in the party. No injuries were reported during the raid, and police emphasized that the action was part of law enforcement efforts to maintain public order in the area.
The DSP noted that the transgender persons initially arrested were released after verification, while the rest remain under investigation. Authorities said that raids of this nature are conducted in response to community complaints about late-night parties and gatherings that may disrupt local peace.
Residents in Razaar tehsil have increasingly voiced concerns over unregulated events and the associated noise and security risks. Police have assured the public that they will continue to act against illegal gatherings while ensuring that operations are conducted according to the law.
