Politicians, diplomats attend wedding of Punjab governor DG’s son

Islamabad’s evening wore a robe of grace, as on 31st December 2025, the Montage Event Complex, Gulberg Green, sparkled with lights, prayers, and smiling faces.

The wedding reception of Abdullah Malik, son of Mr. Anwar Malik, Director General to the Governor Punjab a name synonymous with integrity, dignity, and respected state service was not merely a celebration, but a living portrait of national harmony. It was news of joy, and every line carried the fragrance of honor.

Pakistan’s top political leadership marked their presence, including Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, Chairman Senate and Former Prime Minister; Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Former Prime Minister and Former Speaker National Assembly; Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, Governor Punjab; and Sibtain Khan, Former Speaker Punjab Assembly.

The Federal Cabinet was represented by Mian Riaz Pirzada, Federal Minister for Housing & Works; Pir Imran Shah, Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation; and Malik Azmat, Federal Minister and MNA.

Prominent members of the National Assembly and Senate Nadeem Afzal Chan, Sardar Irfan Dogar, Nawab Sher Waseer, Syed Sami-ul-Hasan Gillani, Riaz Fatyana, Sana Ullah Khan Masti Khel, Senator Chaudhary Tanvir, Khawaja Shiraz Mehmood, Bilal Rehman, and Amjad Ali Khan added political depth and distinction to the gathering.

From the provincial leadership, Babur Saleem Swati, Speaker KP Assembly; Dr Javed Siddiqui and Shah Rukh Malik were present, along with Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, Zar Gul Khan, and Mir Baz Khaitran, representing different eras of governance.

A touch of international and social prominence was reflected through the presence of Lord Shehzada Shehryar, Advisor to the Shah of Oman; Muhammad Zubair, Former Governor Sindh; and Shah Jahan Khaitran, MD PTDC.

The dignity of the civil and military services was represented by Lt. Gen. Saeed-uz-Zafar, Maj. Gen. Mustafa, Maj. Gen. Javed Dost Chandio, and Capt. (R) Fazeel Asghar, Chief Secretary Balochistan.

From the worlds of sports, arts, and media, Saleem Malik (Cricketer), Ghulam Mohyuddin, Khalid Moin Butt, Javed Iqbal, Mian Waseem alias Lucky Ali, and renowned lawyer and host Naeem Bukhari graced the occasion.

Business and social circles were represented by Haji Ayub Mushtaq, Abdullah Khan (Gulberg Green Islamabad), and Raashid A. Khanzada

Judges, senior civil and military bureaucrats, and distinguished personalities from all walks of life attended in large numbers, transforming the celebration into a shared moment of collective joy.

The reception of Abdullah Malik stood as a symbol of tradition, dignity, and grace where smiles became headlines and prayers turned into lasting memories. It was a union of two hearts, and a gathering that reflected the unity of a nation.
