
A Ukrainian drone attack disrupted train traffic in Russia’s Voronezh region on Tuesday. The strike caused minor damage to a railway-linked infrastructure facility. Regional officials confirmed no casualties were reported.
Governor Alexander Gusev said emergency services were deployed immediately after the incident. Train movement was suspended as a precautionary measure. Authorities carried out inspections to assess structural damage.

Officials said the damage was limited and did not pose long-term risks. Repair crews began work shortly after the attack. As a result, rail services started resuming gradually.
Voronezh is a key transit region connecting southern and central Russia. Railways there are vital for civilian transport and logistics. Therefore, even brief disruptions attract national attention.

The incident comes amid intensified drone attacks in the Russia-Ukraine war. Both sides have expanded strikes deeper into each other’s territory. Meanwhile, Russian officials said transport operations were stabilising.
