The report also revealed that the Galaxy S26+ and S26 Ultra will retail for $999 and $1,299, respectively. Samsung’s decision to keep prices steady appears influenced by Apple’s choice to maintain pricing for the iPhone 17. Analysts suggest that Samsung may face a 10-15% hit to profits but plans to offset this through high margins in DRAM and NAND sales.
While the price freeze is expected to apply to the U.S. market, Samsung may adjust pricing in South Korea due to the declining value of the Korean won. Similar price changes could also occur in European and other Asian markets. If successful, this would mark the fourth consecutive year Samsung has avoided a price hike on its flagship phones.
The pricing strategy is likely to extend to the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Flip 8, set to launch later in 2026. With Apple expected to release its first foldable iPhone this year, Samsung aims to retain its customer base without alienating users through higher prices.

On a less favorable note, mid-range Galaxy A phones are expected to see price increases, even though hardware upgrades may be limited. Samsung appears to be balancing profitability with competitive pricing for flagship devices, signaling a continued focus on maintaining market share in the premium smartphone segment.
