The Lahore Arts Council, Alhamra, organised a grand, dignified and deeply inspiring ceremony to commemorate the 149th birth anniversary of the Founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
The solemn yet vibrant event stood as a powerful tribute to the visionary leader whose unwavering principles laid the foundation of an independent nation. Through a blend of reflection, patriotism, and youthful expression, Alhamra reaffirmed its commitment to keeping Quaid-e-Azam’s ideals alive for future generations.
Chairman Alhamra, in his statement, emphasized that the thoughts and teachings of Quaid-e-Azam continue to serve as a guiding light for the youth of Pakistan. He stated that the Father of the Nation’s principles of unity, faith and discipline remain as relevant today as ever, and it is the collective responsibility of national institutions to translate these ideals into character-building, awareness, and national pride among young Pakistanis.
Executive Director Alhamra Muhammad Nawaz Gondal paid a heartfelt and powerful tribute to Quaid-e-Azam, stating that his vision remains the ideological backbone of Pakistan. He said that Alhamra is steadfastly advancing Quaid-e-Azam’s philosophy by communicating his message to the younger generation, reminding them of the historic struggle that enabled Pakistanis to breathe freely in an independent homeland. He added that cultural institutions like Alhamra play a vital role in shaping patriotic consciousness by connecting history with creative expression.
As part of the ceremony, a cake commemorating Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s birthday was cut, symbolizing national unity and remembrance. Young artists performed patriotic songs, creating an atmosphere of national fervor and pride. Through their artistic performances, the youth expressed deep love, respect, and reverence for the Father of the Nation, reflecting how Quaid-e-Azam’s legacy continues to inspire hearts across generations. The ceremony was attended by respected Alhamra Board Members, including Shahid Nadeem, Dr Neelum Naz and Dr Tariq Sharifzada, whose presence further added distinction to the event.
Alhamra once again reaffirmed its role as a custodian of Pakistan’s ideological and cultural heritage, ensuring that the message of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah remains alive, relevant and deeply rooted in the minds of the nation’s youth.
