
Turkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has reaffirmed that the long-standing friendship between Turkiye and Pakistan will continue to grow stronger, rooted in shared history and deep mutual trust.
He said the bond between the two nations has endured centuries of change and will further develop in coming years through cooperation in defence, diplomacy, and regional stability initiatives.

Highlighting defence collaboration, Erdogan confirmed that Turkiye is providing PNS Khyber to the Pakistan Navy, adding that the vessel has successfully completed all required testing stages.
Moreover, he announced that PNS Badr will be delivered by the end of 2026, while PNS Tariq is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2027, strengthening Pakistan’s naval capabilities.

Erdogan also noted that Turkiye is among the world’s ten fighter jet-producing countries, stressing respect for national sovereignty and reaffirming his country’s commitment to peace over conflict.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Erdogan discussed bilateral, regional, and global issues, reiterating support on core concerns, including Kashmir, and urging peace and humanitarian relief in Gaza.
