
Josh Philippe and Babar Azam powered Sydney Sixers to a commanding win over Sydney Thunder. The Sixers won the seventh BBL match by 47 runs in Sydney. Babar scored his maiden Big Bash half-century during the victory.
Batting first, the Sixers posted a strong total of 198 runs. Earlier, Daniel Hughes fell for a quick 25 after a bright start. However, Philippe and Babar rebuilt the innings with a dominant partnership that shifted momentum.

The duo added 140 runs and controlled the match tempo throughout. Philippe smashed 96 off 57 balls with confident stroke play. Meanwhile, Babar struck 58 from 42 balls with calm authority and smart placement.
In reply, Thunder struggled while chasing a challenging target. Sam Billings scored 51 and Shadab Khan added 41 in brief resistance. Nevertheless, the team collapsed for 151 before completing 20 overs.

Jack Edwards starred with the ball, taking five crucial wickets for the Sixers. Joel Davies claimed three wickets to seal the victory. Eventually, the Sixers strengthened their BBL campaign with confidence.
