
All passengers kidnapped from a bus on Gudukashmore Road in Ghotki district, Sindh, have been rescued, officials confirmed. The operation was carried out jointly by the rangers and local police.
A total of 14 passengers were taken from the bus near Obaro, and 13 were rescued alive. Tragically, one passenger, Karim Bakhsh from Jaffarabad district, died of a heart attack during captivity.

The rangers’ spokesperson said the operation involved intense clashes with the robbers, during which a police officer sustained injuries. The suspects reportedly fired rockets at a police armoured vehicle while attempting to evade capture.
Authorities had cordoned off all routes leading to Katcha in the district to track down the bandits. The coordinated search ensured the safe release of the hostages and the neutralization of the immediate threat.
Officials praised the joint response of the rangers and police, which prevented further harm to the hostages and local residents. Investigations are ongoing to apprehend any remaining suspects involved in the kidnapping.
