Islamabad police crack down on campus drug dealers

Published on: December 17, 2025 4:06 PM

Islamabad police have formed a Special Intelligence Wing to monitor drug peddlers involved in supplying narcotics within and around educational institutions. The initiative aims to curb drug use among students and ensure safer learning environments. Authorities say the move reflects growing concern over campus-related drug activity.

According to officials, intelligence officers will operate in plain clothes while carrying out surveillance near schools, colleges, and universities. This approach is intended to discreetly identify suspects without alarming students or staff. The strategy allows officers to observe activities more effectively.

Moreover, the intelligence personnel will maintain close coordination with educational institutions during any investigation or enforcement action. School and university administrations will assist by sharing information when suspicious activity is reported. This collaboration is expected to strengthen preventive efforts.

Meanwhile, the Special Intelligence Wing has already begun investigations, evidence collection, and continuous monitoring of drug-related cases. Officials stated that intelligence-based operations will help dismantle supply networks. The focus remains on early detection and swift legal action.
