LOS ANGELES – Walt Disney’s Zootopia 2 has become a global sensation, crossing the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office in just 17 days, setting a new record for animated films.
The movie now holds the title of the fastest animated and PG-rated film to reach this milestone, following Disney’s Lilo & Stitch, making it the second film in 2025 to achieve a billion-dollar haul.
This success adds to Disney’s impressive streak, joining Frozen, Frozen 2, Moana 2, and the original Zootopia, marking five billion-dollar films since 2013, and reinforcing the studio’s dominance in family entertainment.
