The sale of cars in the country witnessed an increase of 43.11 during the first five months of the current fiscal year 2025-26 as compared to the corresponding period of last year.
During the July-November 2025-26, as many as 55,239 cars were sold against the sale of 38,597 units, showing growth of 43.11 percent, said Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA) on Thursday.
Among sale of cars, Toyota Corolla and Toyota Yaris cars sale also grew by 72.27 percent from 8,477 units to 14,604 units while the sale of Honda cars witnessed a surged of 55.04 percent from 5,434 units during last year to 8,425 units during current year.
Suzuki Swift sales went up from 2,916 units to 5,935 units, showing an increase of 103.53 percent whereas the sale of Hyundai Elantra increased to 1,025 units from 458 units.
The sale of Hyundai Sonata also surged by 10.04 percent from 229 units to 252 units during the months under review whereas the sale of Suzuki Cultus increased to 2,165 units from 808 units.
The sale of Suzuki Alto increase to 20,238 units from 15,479 during last year, the PAMA added.
Meanwhile, 1127 units of the newly launched Dewan Honri-VE electric vehicle were sold during July-November 2025-26.
