Earlier this year, the Sindh Food Authority raided a well-known Karachi Five-Star Hotel near PID. Inspectors found expired meat, old buttercream, and other substandard items.
The team also discovered unhygienic kitchen and washing areas during the inspection. Officials noted that the hotel had failed to follow basic food safety rules.
The authority later filed a case in the South Civil Judge’s court. It stressed the need for stronger enforcement and greater accountability in the food sector.
