Rajab Butt and Naniwala Receive 10-Day Transit Bail

Published on: December 10, 2025 1:19 PM

Receive 10-Day Transit Bail

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday granted 10-day transit bail to YouTuber Rajab Butt and TikToker Nadeem Naniwala. The decision protects them from arrest during this period. The bail allows the duo to appear before relevant courts in Pakistan.

Rajab Butt arrived at Islamabad airport after the UK Home Department cancelled his visa. The cancellation occurred due to his failure to disclose ongoing legal cases in Pakistan. Concealment of such cases violates UK immigration rules, prompting immediate expulsion.

The hearing was presided over by Justice Inaam Ameen Minhas. Cases against the accused involve gambling apps, cybercrime, and other legal matters. Some cases were filed while the duo was abroad.

The petitioners’ lawyer requested 15 days’ transit bail to allow them to appear in Karachi. Justice Minhas granted 10 days instead. He instructed the accused to approach the relevant court in Karachi within the given period.

The court barred authorities from arresting Butt and Naniwala during the 10-day transit bail. Previously, both had obtained protective bail before returning to Pakistan. Multiple cases, including cybercrime charges, remain active against them.

Sources reported that the UK government cancelled Rajab Butt’s visa due to nondisclosure of a case in Pakistan. The UK Home Office issued a written order confirming the cancellation. The document cited his failure to disclose a 259-case registered in Pakistan.

The court’s order ensures Butt and Naniwala can manage their legal proceedings without immediate arrest. Authorities have been directed to respect the transit bail. Meanwhile, the accused are expected to appear before the Karachi court within the stipulated period.
