PTI founder and Pakistan can no longer coexist: Azma

Published on: December 10, 2025 6:40 AM

Punjab Minister for Information and Culture, Azma Bokhari, has said that the prisoner in Adiala Jail has now effectively become “Altaf Hussain Part Two,” while “Fitna Khan” despite being the “Father of Offshore Companies,” was still declared Sadiq and Ameen, which itself raises serious concerns. She said the silence of the PTI founder during the Pakistan-India conflict was equivalent to anti-state behavior, adding that the PTI founder and Pakistan can no longer move forward together.

Azma Bokhari demanded an immediate medical and psychological evaluation of the PTI founder in Adiala Jail to assess his mental stability. She said that, according to Amnesty International, the health sector in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the most corrupt sector in the country-and this is despite the fact that schools and hospitals are barely functional. “Had these institutions actually existed in proper form, God knows what level of corruption we would have seen,” she added.

Speaking outside the Punjab Assembly, she said Pakistan’s security and its nuclear program are non-negotiable nation’s red lines, and anyone questioning them must understand this reality clearly. She stated that under the PML-N government, Pakistan is emerging from international isolation, which is “bad news for the PTI founder,” as he was the one who pushed Pakistan toward global isolation and engaged in maligning the country wherever he went. She added that a foreign-based propaganda cell was used to run malicious campaigns against the Army and state institutions, while during the Pakistan-India war, the PTI leadership maintained complete silence, which was against national interest.

Highlighting transparency and reforms in Punjab, she said the government introduced e-tendering and modern governance models, bringing major improvements to all contracts and institutional performance. She said the PTI founder used charity funds for gambling and illegal investments. According to Transparency International, corruption reduced during the PML-N government and bribery reduced in public institutions. Azma Bokhari said PTI trying continuously to drag the Army into politics, while its leaders remain busy with anti-state propaganda. Even within PTI, many individuals are fed up with its toxic policies. Regarding institutional support and law enforcement, she said the Punjab Police has been equipped with advanced technology to combat terrorism and that any attack on state institutions or their leadership will not be tolerated. She said the DG ISPR’s press conference “hit a raw nerve within PTI,” pointing out that the party even launched a vile campaign against a world-renowned scientist. She added that the PTI founder’s sisters do not visit him for support as family members, but merely to take instructions for “X”, and that Indian media repeatedly showcases his sisters and Sohail Afridi.

She stressed that propaganda against state institutions and martyrs is not political dissent, but a grave act of hostility against Pakistan. “Who are these people who burned the country on May 9, torched martyrs’ memorials, conspired against the state, wrote letters to the IMF to sabotage the economy, and supported proxies against Pakistan?” She said those who lecture others on constitutional clauses themselves committed acts falling under Article 6. If PTI does not change its course, the government may consider options such as a ban on the party or Governor’s Rule. Concluding her remarks, the Minister Information emphasized Pakistan’s security, prosperity, and nuclear program are non-negotiable, and no one will be allowed to cross the nation’s red lines. She said respect for state institutions and national stability is the responsibility of every patriotic citizen, and no one will be allowed to derail Pakistan’s security or progress.
