The Bank of Punjab–sponsored veteran tennis players continued their strong performance at the ITF World Masters Tour MT200 Tournament, being held on the hard courts of Robinson Hotel Khao Lak, Thailand.
In the semifinals of the 55+ Men’s Doubles category, the pairing of Khurram Imtiaz and Furqan Khan (Mongol) delivered an outstanding display to defeat Germany’s Henning Hartmann and Jochen Kuhlhoff with a commanding 6–2, 6–3 victory. The win also served as sweet revenge, as the Pakistani duo had lost to the same opponents a day earlier in the 50+ Doubles category.
Khurram and Furqan showcased aggressive, disciplined and tactically sharp tennis throughout the match. Khurram’s powerful serves consistently applied pressure, while Furqan’s crisp volleys and penetrating forehands kept the German pair on the back foot, sealing a well-deserved straight-sets win.
