Ukraine has refused to give up land and is preparing a revised peace plan to present to the White House.
According to BBC News, Kyiv intends to offer alternative proposals for the Americans. President Volodymyr Zelensky reiterated that Ukraine cannot surrender territory under Ukrainian or international law. He emphasized that such a move would violate both legality and morality.
Zelensky made these remarks while meeting European and NATO leaders, aiming to block U.S. support for a peace plan that required major territorial concessions. Allies worry such a plan could weaken Ukraine and invite future Russian attacks.

Meanwhile, Russia continues attacks on Ukraine. In Sumy, Russian drones targeted electrical infrastructure overnight, causing widespread power outages. In Ternopil, casualties from a previous Russian missile strike rose to 38, including eight children.
Zelensky’s current European tour comes after intense U.S.-Ukraine negotiations failed to produce an acceptable deal. Kyiv has reduced the U.S.-proposed 28-point plan to 20 points, without compromising on territorial integrity. Sensitive issues include control over eastern Donbas and the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant.
