Capital Smart City, Lahore Qalandars reveal Lake View LQ Smart High Performance Centre

An important moment for Pakistan cricket was marked at Serena Hotel Islamabad as Capital Smart City, HRL Group, and Lahore Qalandars jointly revealed the Lake View LQ Smart High Performance Centre, situated within Capital Smart City Islamabad. The event signified a meaningful advancement in modern cricketing pathways and athlete development across the country.

The ceremony was attended by Mr Zahid Rafiq, Chairman HRL Group, and Mr Jahanzaib Zahid, Vice Chairman HRL Group, whose strategic leadership has guided the development of this initiative with clear purpose. They were joined by Mr Rana Atif, CEO Lahore Qalandars, PSL CEO Mr Salman Naseer, the visiting Zimbabwe National Cricket Team, representatives of the Zimbabwe Cricket Board, and prominent national players Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Sikandar Raza, and Fakhar Zaman. Their collective presence underscored the importance of the unveiling across the cricketing world.

The Lake View LQ Smart High Performance Centre introduces a thoughtfully designed training environment centreed on modern coaching techniques, sports science integration, performance observation, and structured development pathways. Located within the master planned surroundings of Capital Smart City, the centre offers a setting that encourages disciplined growth and professional advancement for current and aspiring players.

The project has been shaped under the direction of Mr Jahanzaib Zahid, reflecting HRL Group’s commitment to contributing meaningfully to Pakistan’s sports ecosystem. His guidance has ensured that the centre aligns with contemporary cricketing standards and supports long term talent progression.

The event also highlighted the strength of the strategic partnership between Capital Smart City, Lahore Qalandars, and HRL Group, a collaboration built on shared values and mutual commitment to the advancement of cricket in Pakistan. Together, the three organizations aim to establish a foundation that supports consistent talent development and elevates training practices across levels.

A major announcement during the ceremony was Lahore Qalandars confirming their participation in the upcoming ten editions of the Pakistan Super League, reinforcing confidence, continuity, and long term franchise stability.

With this unveiling, Capital Smart City continues to grow as a leading space for cricket development, supported by HRL Group’s leadership and Lahore Qalandars’ dedication to nurturing the next generation of national cricket talent.
